Our transition process

Supporting a smooth transition

We understand that moving away from familiar friends and teaching staff to a new service can be a significant and sometimes daunting change.

Our goal is to ensure that this transition is as seamless as possible. Plus, you'll have the opportunity to make new friends at Kaleidocare, and you might even find some familiar faces among them!

Step one

Meet with the Kaleidocare team to discuss programs, your needs, the transition process, and make arrangements.

Step two

You’ll receive documents to support the transition, including timetables, our social script, and our online application form - which helps us better understand your child and their individual needs.

Step three

We will schedule a visit to your school to meet with your teaching team and therapists for better acquaintance.

Step four

Join us at your nearest Kaleidocare for 3-6 visits, with options for more. Please bring a school or family support person for your first visit.

Step five

Talk with your family; if you decide to come, we'll schedule another meeting to discuss enrolment and prepare for the next year.
